My first venture into business was when I was five years old. I charged all the neighborhood kids a dime to watch me do tricks on my bike. Unfortunately that landed me with a concussion and multiple abrasions; however, I did not give any money back! I have an entrepreneurial spirit, from my 10 year old gig to selling candy bars at school for 100% profit, to executive coaching between corporate roles. I have passion and true care about helping individuals in transition. I have the knowledge, educational background and personal experience to tap into to provide effective services. Having been a successful executive in business for many years, I have experience and skills in strategic planning, extreme organization, focus, establishment of quick rapport and trust and I am an internal optimist. I know how to handle stressful situations and make lemons from lemonade, for myself and for others. No problem is too big – together we can solve anything. Also, I am tenacious, in that I don’t let the right thing to do – fail. I believe in learning from mistakes and failures to create an even better plan for the future. I not only have the formal education, but also have the technical up-to-date knowledge through constant self-study.
I have great passion in enabling individuals to claim power of their financial future. I take my life-long practices of counseling, educating and helping people with my technical knowledge of personal finance to help individuals succeed with their finances. Early in my life I started an investment club and my own personal stock trading. I have a graduate degree in business from the University of Minnesota; Carlson School of Business and a graduate degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan. I am a Board certified independent mental health counselor in the state of Minnesota and fifteen plus years as an executive in business. Personally, after going through divorce, having a seriously ill child and a job loss, I know how difficult and scary dealing with finances and poor financial decisions can be and the impact to one’s overall well-being. If I can experience financial security, you can too!
